Day 1 – Arrive Delhi
Day 2 – Full day Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi
Day 3 – Morning flight from Delhi to Varanasi, afternoon city sightseeing & evening enjoy Aarti ceremony at Dasaswamedh Ghat
Day 4 – Morning boat cruise on the River Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats, later depart for an excursion to Sarnath where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 2500 years ago. It is about 10 km from Varanasi and holds a number of Buddhist sites that include the famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy ‘Buddha’. You can also visit the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandha Kuti Temple, where Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath. The Ashoka Pillar built by the emperor Ashoka is a must see in Sarnath. The Lion Capital on top of this pillar is now the National Emblem of India and stands apart for its excellent artistry and carvings. Return to hotel for overnight stay
Day 5 – Morning drive from Varanasi to Bodhgaya (approx. 255 Kms / 3 – 4 hours drive), one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world. It was here under a banyan tree, the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Lord Buddha, Afternoon visit the Thai, Chinese, Tibetan, Japanese Temples and The 80 Ft. Buddha Statue, overnight in Bodhgaya
Day 6 – Full day Sightseeing of Bodhgaya visiting Mahabodhi Temple, Dungashwari Caves, Sujata House and Niranjana River, evening free & overnight stay
Day 7 – Morning drive from Bodhgaya to Rajgir & Nalanda (approx. 100 Kms / 1 – 2 hours drive) to visit the Shanti Stupa, Gridhrakuta Hills, Nalanda University and Museum, later proceed to Vaishali (approx. 100 Kms /2 – 3 hours drive) for overnight stay
Morning visit Relic Stupa, Kutagarasala Vihara, and The Vishwa Shanti Stupa, later drive to Kushinagar (approx. 230 Kms / 4 – 5 hours drive)
Day 8 – Morning sightseeing at Kushinagar, Ramabhar Stupa, Nirvana Stupa & Mahaparinivana Temple, later drive to Lumbini, Birth Place of Lord Buddha (approx. 140 Kms / 3 – 4 hours drive) for overnight stay
Day 9 – Morning sightseeing of Lumbini visiting the Mahadevi Temple and the Ashokan Pillar, after sightseeing proceed to Kapilavastu (approx. 55 Kms / 1 hour drive), where the Buddha spent his early childhood, view the ruins of the once great Kingdom of Kapilavastu later proceed towards Sravasti where the Buddha spent 25 years of his monastic life (approx. 120 Kms / 2 – 3 hours drive) for overnight stay
Day 10 – Morning visit Jetavana Park, Sudatta Stupa, Angulimala Stupa and Nava Jetavana Mahavihara, later drive to Lucknow (approx. 180 Kms / 3 – 4 hours drive) for overnight stay
Day 11 – Morning Sightseeing of Lucknow city visiting Bara Imambara, Clock Tower (One of the tallest clock tower in India) & Jama Masjid
Day 12 – Afternoon flight from Lucknow to Delhi for Hometown flight
